Hanmi Capital (now Woori Financial Co.) is a leading provider of lease financing primarily for auto and medical equipment in Korea. In auto leasing, its core business segment, the Company provides lease financing to both new cars (imported and domestic) and used cars. In November 2006, the Company acquired Ssangyong Capital, a domestic leader in used car leasing. Hanmi also provides lease financing for medical equipment, such as laser eye surgery machines, sonograms and x-ray machines, to private clinics and small hospitals. The Company was sold to Woori Financial Group in September 2007.
