Established in 1997, Gala TV is one of the top five cable TV content providers in Taiwan and provides four channels to all cable TV operators in Taiwan. As part of the basic tier for service subscription for all cable TV systems, these channels are accessible by all households in Taiwan. The Company broadcasts variety shows, drama and news programs, and its channels consistently rank among the top three in the variety and drama genres. The Company was sold to EQT Partners in February 2011.
