Jay H. Bu is a Partner based in Seoul. Prior to MBK Partners, he was a Director and head of the telecom & media practice for Carlyle Asia Partners. Prior to Carlyle, he worked at Salomon Smith Barney, focusing on M&A in Korea. Mr. Bu received a BA and a BS from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Bu currently serves on the boards of Megazone Cloud and BHC.

Youngsoo Cha is an Operating Partner based in Seoul. Prior to joining MBK Partners, he was CEO at Samsung Futures. Before joining Samsung Futures, he worked as an executive for Samsung Securities, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Group and Samsung Electronics. Mr. Cha received a BA from Seoul National University and an MBA from Indiana University.

Mr. Cha currently serves on the boards of directors of Homeplus, Doosan Machine Tools, MH&Co., NEPA and Lotte Card.

Mavis Chang is a Controller based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining MBK Partners, she was an Investment Management Controller in Lehman Brothers. Before that, she worked as a Controller in Goldman Sachs and as a Tax Consultant with KPMG. Ms. Chang is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and received a BBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Jonathan Cheng, based in Hong Kong, is a Managing Director and Head of Trading. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Cheng was a Director and Head of Trading for Taconic Capital in Hong Kong. Prior to Taconic, he was with Credit Suisse in London and Hong Kong. Mr. Cheng received a BS from the London School of Economics & Political Science.

Yon Sog Choi is a Managing Director based in Seoul. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Choi worked as an Associate at JPMorgan in New York. Mr. Choi received a BA from Seoul National University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Junho Chun is a Controller based in Seoul. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Chun worked as Finance Manager at Hudson Advisors Korea and as a Certified Public Accountant at PwC Seoul. Mr. Chun received a BA from Seoul National University and is a CFA charter holder.

Lei Han is a Managing Director based in Shanghai. Prior to MBK Partners, Mr. Han was a Director at CITIC Capital in Shanghai. Prior to CITIC Capital, he was with A.T. Kearney in Shanghai. Mr. Han received a BA in german language and literature from the Shanghai International Studies University and an MBA from the University of Bayreuth in Germany.

Mr. Han currently serves on the board of directors of Apex Logistics and Siyanli.

Seikyu Hong, based in Seoul, is a Managing Director and the Head of Communications of MBK Partners. Prior to joining MBK Partners, he was a General Manager at Weber Shandwick Korea. Prior to that, he was a Senior Account Supervisor and Deputy Financial Practice Leader at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide Korea. Mr. Hong received a BA, with dual degrees in journalism and philosophy, from Sogang University.

Daisuke Ikeda is a Partner based in Tokyo. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Ikeda worked as a Principal at MKS Partners in Tokyo. Before joining MKS, he worked for Gracchus & Associates, Inc. and Mizuho Bank. Mr. Ikeda received a BA from the University of Tokyo.

Mr. Ikeda currently serves on the boards of directors of Tasaki.

Ken Kagasa is a Partner based in Tokyo. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Kagasa was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs Japan. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he worked for Asahi Bank in Tokyo. Mr. Kagasa received a BA from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Mr. Kagasa currently serves on the boards of directors of Tasaki, Kuroda Group, Godiva Japan and Tsukui Holdings.

Tetsuya Kaneko is a Managing Director based in Tokyo. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Kaneko was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs Japan. Mr. Kaneko received a BA from Keio University.

Mr. Kaneko currently serves on the board of directors of Tasaki, Kuroda Electric and Godiva Japan.

Jeonghwan Kim is a Partner based in Seoul. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Kim was a Consultant at Bain & Company in Seoul. Mr. Kim received a BA from Seoul National University.

Mr. Kim currently serves on the boards of directors of Golfzon County, Homeplus, Korea Center and MH&Co.

Kwang Il Kim is a Partner based in Seoul. Prior to MBK Partners, Mr. Kim was a Partner and Senior M&A Lawyer at the law offices of Kim & Chang, based in Seoul. Before Kim & Chang, Mr. Kim worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers in Seoul. Mr. Kim received a BA and MA from Seoul National University and an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been a member of the Korean Bar Association since 1995 and the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1989.

Mr. Kim currently serves on the boards of directors of NEPA, Homeplus, MH&Co. and Lotte Card.

Michael ByungJu Kim is a Partner and one of the founders of MBK Partners. Prior to MBK Partners, Mr. Kim was President of Carlyle Asia Partners and a member of The Carlyle Group’s Management Committee. Before Carlyle, he was Managing Director and COO of Asia-Pacific Investment Banking for Salomon Smith Barney and an Executive Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Kim has a BA with Honors from Haverford College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He was also a Fulbright Scholar.

Mr. Kim is chair of the boards of Haverford College and the MBK Scholarship Foundation. He also serves or has served on the boards of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Carnegie Hall, the New York Public Library, Harvard Business School, the Asia Business Leaders Advisory Council and the Temasek Philanthropy Asia Alliance.

Stephen Le is a Partner based in Hong Kong. Prior to MBK Partners, he was a Managing Director and Co-head of the Asia Pacific Credit Division for Deutsche Bank. He was also a member of the Global Credit Executive Committee for Deutsche Bank. Before Deutsche Bank, he worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. Mr. Le received a First Class Honor from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

In Kyung Lee, based in Seoul, is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of MBK Partners; she is also the head of LP Relations. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Ms. Lee was CFO at Morgan Stanley Properties in Seoul. Prior to Morgan Stanley Properties, she worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Arthur Anderson in Seoul. Ms. Lee received a BA and MA from Seoul National University.

Jinha Lee is a Partner based in Seoul. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Lee was a Consultant at Bain & Company in Seoul and Tokyo. Mr. Lee received a BS from Seoul National University, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Mr. Lee currently serves on the boards of directors of NEPA and Lotte Card.

Jason Liu, based in Beijing, is a Managing Director and Head of China for Special Situations. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Liu was a Director and Head of Greater China Structured Products Origination at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong. Before Deutsche Bank, he was an Associate at JP Morgan in Hong Kong. Mr. Liu received a BA from Renmin University of China.

Bryan Byungsuk Min, based in Hong Kong, is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of MBK Partners. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Min worked at Olympus Capital Holdings Asia. Prior to Olympus, he was with UBS Capital Asia Pacific in Seoul. Mr. Min received a BS from Yale University and an MA from Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies.

Shinichi Mochida is an Operating Partner based in Tokyo. Before joining MBK Partners, Mr. Mochida was a Director at Alix Partners. Prior to that, he worked for Shiseido, Culture Convenience Club, Koei, A.T. Kearney and Procter & Gamble. Mr. Mochida received a BA from Waseda University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Joo Ho Moon, based in Seoul, is a Partner and Head of Korea for Special Situations. Prior to joining MBK Partners, he was a Partner with H&Q Korea. Prior to that, he was a Vice President with JP Morgan in Seoul and an Associate with Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong and Seoul. Mr. Moon has a BA from Seoul National University and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mr. Moon currently serves on the board of directors of K Bank.

Tamon Nonaka, based in Tokyo, is a Managing Director and Head of Japan for Special Situations. Prior to MBK Partners, Mr. Nonaka was a Principal at Advantage Partners in Tokyo. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at Elliott Advisors, an Associate at Goldman Sachs and worked as a Certified Public Accountant at KPMG Tokyo. Mr. Nonaka received a BS from the University of Tokyo.

Tae Hyun Park is a Partner based in Seoul. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Park was an M&A Partner at Kim & Chang in Seoul, and prior to that he was an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York. Mr. Park holds an LL.B. from Seoul National University and an LL.M. from Georgetown University. He is a member of the Korean Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Park currently serves on the boards of directors of Homeplus, Korea Center, MH&Co. and Golfzon County.

Hyosung Christie Tang, based in Seoul, is a Partner and General Counsel of MBK Partners. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Ms. Tang was a Special Counsel at Covington & Burling LLP Seoul. Prior to Covington & Burling LLP, she worked at major international law firms in New York and Hong Kong. Ms. Tang received her BA from Seoul National University and JD from Columbia University School of Law.

Jun Xu is a Managing Director based in Shanghai. Prior to joining MBK Partners, he was a Vice President at Ally Bridge Group. Prior to that, he worked at Booz Allen Hamilton in Shanghai. Mr. Xu received a BA from Fudan University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Xu currently serves on the board of directors of Wendu Education.

Jong-Ha James Yoon is a Partner based in Korea. Prior to MBK Partners, Dr. Yoon was a co-head of Korea for Carlyle Asia Partners. Prior to Carlyle, he was a Managing Director at Financial Advisory Services at KPMG in Seoul. He served as a First Lieutenant in the Korean Air Force and as Deputy Assistant to the Minister of National Defense for International Affairs. Dr. Yoon has a BA from Georgetown University, Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago.

Dr. Yoon currently serves on the boards of directors of Dongjin Textile, NEPA and MH&Co. He is also a member of the advisory board of Public Officials Benefit Association of Korea.

Hongfei Yu is a Partner based in Shanghai. Prior to joining MBK Partners, Mr. Yu was a Vice President in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked as an Associate in HSBC Investment Banking in Hong Kong. Mr. Yu received a BS in Economics and MS in Finance from University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.

Mr. Yu currently serves on the boards of directors of Car Inc., Wendu Education and Siyanli.
